A woman-owned lingerie store in the Washington, DC area with over thirty years experience, Sylene is synonymous with the best in intimate apparel.  The name Sylene stands for Cyla and Helen, sisters who grew up spending Saturdays and summer vacations working in their parent's lingerie shop. In 1975, Cyla opened Sylene, and since that time, Sylene has specialized in serving their customers with the finest lingerie, swimwear, sleepwear, post-surgical items, accessories, and gifts handpicked from the best domestic and international designers.

The members of our friendly staff are fit experts, known for personal, individualized attention. We are here to help and guide you, whether it's your first bra, a wedding trousseau, swimsuit, nursing bra, or mastectomy prosthesis. You are guaranteed the perfect fit. We believe in giving back to the community

Sylene believes in helping the community. We donate bras and sleepwear to women's shelters, and work closely with organizations such as Suited for Change, Volunteers of America, and Second Chance Employment Services. We regularly visit hospitals, educating them on mastectomy items available for their patients.
